Muslim Masculinity Project
The Muslim Masculinity Project (MMP) was founded by women and men to redefine a positive, healthy Muslim masculinity to foster a world free of gender-based violence against women and men.
Using a small-group facilitation model, we engage with young American-Muslim men, ages 13-40.
Educate: We want to create healing and intimate spaces for men to build awareness of the realities of gender-based violence, in its many forms, and the negative impacts that patterns of misogyny and toxic masculinity have on people of all gender identifications.
Agitate/Activate: We want to create opportunities for critical reflection on internalized norms and men’s roles in systems of gender-based oppression.
Organize: We want participants to begin investing their time and effort into organizing, creating communities of responsible allies who work to dismantle oppressive systems and transform society.
